ABEOKUTA—Men of the Anti-Kidnapping unit and Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad in Ogun State have rescued two Chinese nationals; Shen Ximing and Wei Futang, who were last Thursday kidnapped in Odeda, Odeda local government area of the state.
The acting Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Abimbola Oyeyemi, disclosed this while addressing newsmen at the Command’s headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta.
The PPRO, who said the expatriates were rescued on Wednesday added that both Ximing and Futang were abducted by some gunmen while they were working on a quarry site.
Oyeyemi   said a police team was   immediately deployed to combat the abductors.
The PPRO said the Police team also rescued 31-year -old Olabimpe Tejumola, who was kidnapped at Mowe, Obafemi Owode local government area of the state.
According to Oyeyemi, Tejumola, who   was   abducted last Wednesday, was also rescued by the same combined effort of the officers.
